Roland Saavedra Jr.

SAAVEDRA - Roland Saavedra Jr., 67, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Roland loved horse racing and enjoyed cooking. He spent every weekend at swap meets. Roland adored his family. Roland is survived by his loving partner Pamela Hyde; his caring mother Annie Saaverda; his children Roland Saavedra III and wife Angela; Daaveda Proctor and husband Rick; four grandsons and one granddaughter; his sister Gloria Martinez and husband Tom Sr.; brother Martin Saavedra and wife Shirley; and many nieces’ nephews’ cousins; and friends. Roland is preceded in death by his father Roland Saavedra Sr.; grandparents Ezequiel Saavedra, Jesusita Mirabal Saavedra, Herminio Gonzales and Petrita Leal Gonzales. Roland will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, November 23, 2010 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church 1400 Arenal Rd. SW with Interment to follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.
