Ron Hollan

Ron W. Hollan passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 28, 2022, at the age of 64.

Ron was born on March 13, 1958, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to JR Newsome and Vicki Bouse.  When his mother remarried he was adopted by Jim Hollan.

Ron is survived by his wife, Helen (Terri),  Mother Vicki Hollan, Sons, Jason Roe of Sacramento, California; Kenny Erhard (Megan Jo) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Daughter, Erin Morin of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Sister, Paula (Mike) Hernandez of Austin, Texas; Brother, Scott (Jeri) Hollan of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Grandchildren, Thomas J Erhard, Tyler S Meyer, KJ Erhard, Jordan C Weber, Joseph G Erhard, Elizabeth F Erhard, and many nieces and nephews, and his beloved pets Taz, Buttercup and Camille.

He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Bill Bouse and Grandmother Dorothy Bouse.

He graduated from Manzano High School in 1976 and attended the University of New Mexico. He married Helen on June 8, 1996.

Ron was employed at ABC Studios for 11 years and retired after working at Intel for 5 years.

Ron enjoyed Nascar, Denver Broncos, the L.A. Lakers and the USC Trojans Football Team. He was a member of Rio Rancho Elks Lodge for over 20 years. He was a member of the 2009 Rio Rancho Elks Ritual Team which took the State Ritual Championship. Ron was a member of the Episcopal Church.

The family wishes to thank Presbyterian Hospice especially Sarah and Helena. A special thank you to Michael Dilworth, Mary Gutierrez, and Selena Trujillo.

Ron loved being a Poppa to his beautiful grandchildren. He often went on Field trips with the grandchildren which he enjoyed as much as the children did.

Goodbyes are not forever; Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you until we meet again!

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd. in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Reverend Peter Falk will be officiating.
