Rose Marie Brown
Rose left her earthly body to be with her Lord Jesus on December 27th, 2025. She was born on September 11th, 1936, in Los Angeles.
Rose is survived by her son, Dave Brown, and daughter-in-law, Maude Huffmire, of Rio Rancho; stepson Richard Brown (Pam) of Enumclaw, WA; stepson Randy Brown (Grady) of Bellingham, WA; stepdaughter Shelley Bezona (Randy) of Harrisburg, OR; stepson Dennis Brown (Jeanne) of Phoenix, AZ; and close niece Ann Brown of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Brown, and daughter, Susan Brown.
Rose grew up in Los Angeles and was very popular in school, being involved in many activities, including one year as a varsity cheerleader. She was married at age 20 and was a housewife for 20 years before entering the workforce in sales, first in cosmetics and then in real estate for over 30 years.
She lived in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho for approximately 40 years before relocating to Oregon in 2005, closer to sea level to facilitate her breathing (COPD). She was an avid golfer and found a home on the 4th hole of a Senior Estates golf course. She made many friends and enjoyed her time in Oregon. Her daughter, Susan, lived with her for several years before losing her own battle with cancer in 2018.
Stricken with the onset of Alzheimer’s disease in her early 80s, in 2021 she returned to New Mexico to live with her son and daughter-in-law in Rio Rancho. She enjoyed riding around the golf course with Dave and Maude, always listening to music, often singing along. She liked going out to dinner, occasional visits to the casino, and she had a unique sense of humor and always liked to tell or hear a good joke.
Her greatest joys in life were her son and daughter, her faithful Pomeranian companion, Jaime, and the many friends she made over the years. She will be missed.
