Rosely C. Valdez, 91, passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by loved ones on August 19, 2026. She was born in Velarde, New Mexico on December 8, 1934. She graduated from McCurdy Mission High School in 1954. Rosely met the love of her life, Jose, in grammar school and they reconnected in 1958 after he finished active duty in the Air Force. Jose and Rosely married on July 23, 1960. They bought a home in Albuquerque, New Mexico and built a beautiful life together. Rosely loved to travel the world, dance, and care for others. She volunteered for many years with the Knights of Columbus and National Hispanic Cultural Center. She was faithful and active in the catholic church especially Queen of Heaven. She will be remembered by her infectious laugh, beautiful rose garden, and world famous biscochitos. She was proceeded in death by her husband Jose M. Valdez; parents Eleazar and Manuelita Montoya; brothers Amadeo, Joaquin, Johnny, and George; sisters Adelina, Alice, and Ernie. She is survived by her son Daniel (Gail); daughters Lorie (Paul) and Angela (Ugh); granddaughters Danielle and Amber.
