Roy C Carrejo

CARREJO-ROY C CARREJO, 82, passed away peacefully Monday October 31, 2011 in Socorro, NM surrounded by his family. Roy was born May 30, 1929 in Horse Springs, NM to Juan W and Ramona (Castillo) Carrejo. Roy was a resident of Socorro since 1959. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the board of trustees of the Socorro Electric Co-op and was also a scout master. Roy worked and retired from the ATSF Railroad. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and making his special bread, Breles. Roy was a devoted member of San Miguel Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dolores (Quintana) Carrejo; devoted sons Roland Carrejo and wife Elsa; Tom Carrejo and wife Cammy; and Chris Carrejo and wife Rosina; his loving daughter Susan Carrejo; his brother Nestor Carrejo and wife Lupe; his sisters Annie Jiron; Shella Jiron; Lucy Armijo; and Theresa Saavedra and husband Frank; and many nieces and nephews. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Ernest, Juan and Willie Carrejo and his sisters Antonia Martin and Julia Armijo. Roy's eulogy and Rosary will be recited, Friday, November 4th, 2011 beginning at 8:15 am, at the San Miguel Catholic Church. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:00 am, with Father Andrew Pavlak. Internment will be held on Monday, November 7th, 2011 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 9:45 am. Roy 's care has been entrusted to:
