Ruben Montoya

Ruben Montoya, 78 passed away on August 31, 2023 at his home.    Ruben was born to Hipolito and Feliz (Ferjardo) Montoya on September 10, 1944, in Socorro, New Mexico

Ruben graduated from Socorro High School then served in the Army National Guard for 9 years.  He married Maria M. Jojola on December 15, 1971, in Socorro, they were married for 52 years.  Ruben worked for the BNSF Railroad for 31 years as an Tracksman.

Ruben is preceded in death by his parents, Hipolito and Feliz Montoya, and his sister Pabuta Jaramillo.  He is survived by his wife Maria (Margie) Montoya; daughter Jenny Montoya; son Raymond Montoya; Granddaughter Rebecca P. Savedra; sister Manuel Garcia (Married to Carlos Garcia), lots of nieces and nephews and great grand dogs, Honey & Riley.

Ruben’s services will be Friday, September 15, 2023, at San Miguel Catholic Church, rosary at 9:30 am and Mass at 10:00 am.  Burial will be immediately following Mass at the New San Miguel Cemetery.
