Rudy E. Casaus, 72 and a lifelong resident of Bernalillo, passed away Feb. 12, 2022 as a result of a tragic accident.
Rudy was born on July 7, 1949 in Bernalillo, New Mexico to Ramon and Abby Casaus. He graduated from Bernalillo High School in 1968. Rudy always lived in service of the people. A U.S. Air Force retiree, he served 33 years in the military and served as the Sandoval County Assessor for 8 years.
He loved his family and friends with his whole heart and was selfless in every way. He always helped anyone who came to him. He was loving in every way.
He had a passion for cruising his 1950 Ford and 1960 Impala. He loved going to car shows and admiring them. He enjoyed keeping his yard beautiful, from the lawn to his flowers. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He loved sharing his wisdom with his family and friends. Rudy will be remembered for his sense of style and for always being well-dressed from his hair to his polished shoes.
Rudy is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon & Abby Casaus and siblings, Jesse, Paul, Nancy, Teresa. He is survived by his daughter, Belinda (Matthew) and three children shared with Elizabeth Aguilar, Jesse James (Janeé), Loré (Dusten), Michelle (Wesley); by his grandchildren, Alexandria, Cedric, Desirae, Jesse James II, Braxton II, Presleigh, Patrick, Marshall, Dominik, Skyleigh, Zayleigh and Madeleine; by his great grandchildren, Eliyanah and Cambria; by his loving partner of many years Vivian, and sisters, Peggy and Sylvia.
