Rufina Lorenza Chavez

Rufina Lorenza Chavez, 86 passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 in Florence, South Carolina.  Rufina was born on April 23,1936 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Manuel and Seferina Romero Chavez.  She was a resident of Socorro County for over 50 years.  Rufina’s hobbies were coloring and putting puzzles together and she enjoyed singing.

Rufina is survived by her daughter Irene Chavez, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild; Brother Ives Chaves; sister Sophie Trujillo; as well as many loving hijitos and hejitas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and Adella Romero, Benjamin Chavez, Gloria Duran and Ruby Vasquez.

Services for Rufina will be Friday, November 11, 2022, at 10:00 am, at Daniels Family Funeral Home-Socorro Chapel, followed by the burial at San Pedro Cemetery in San Pedro, New Mexico.
