Ruth Geraldine Belveal was born in Farmington on Sept. 21, 1930, to Mark and Laura Taylor.
She was married to Melvin Belveal on Aug. 14, 1950, in Aztec. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and sister to her family. She loved gardening, music, crafting, and laughing with her children. She was an artist and poet. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Raymond "Doc" Taylor; sisters, Thelma Taylor and Patsy Stallings; daughter, Roberta Enns; and grandson, Joseph Wheeler.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Melvin Belveal; her children, Joy (Jerry) Wheeler, Tammie (James) Bacon, James Belveal, and Laura (Joseph) Fayad; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Claudine Harris and Mona Taylor; and brother, Ronnie Taylor.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 21, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 479 County Road 6100, in Kirtland.
