Saba Jessie Reese

Saba Jessie Reese, age 19, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022.  She was born January 15, 2003 in San Antonio, Texas to Walter and Michelle Reese.  She attended Cleveland High School for 3 years and received her GED equivalent 4 months before her expected graduation date.  She was a member of the Cleveland Wrestling Team in her Junior year before Covid. She was a Certified Nurses Aid for 2 years and was currently enrolled in her 1st year of college classes.   She enjoyed hiking, painting and other art.  

Saba is survived by her parents, Walter and Michelle Reese of Rio Rancho, NM; brother, Oba Reese of Rio Rancho, NM; sister, Mileena Reese of San Antonio, TX; brother, Walter E. Reese III of San Antonio, TX; grandpa, Joe Bookout of Albuquerque, NM; grandma, Meaza Bookout of Albuquerque, NM; pet dog, Patches; pet cat, Prince; many other relatives and friends.

Saba was a free spirit.  She has a strong presence and she brought so much joy into this world.  She was like a strong force of nature that could be scary and make your hair stand on end, but she was also a gentle breeze that makes you feel calm.  She will be forever adored in the hearts of we who love her.

Saba’s favorite quote was by Dave Chappelle from Pop Copy, “Why, cuz Fuck’em, that’s why.”
