Sally Teupell

Sally Teupell, born December 25, 1941, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with dementia.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leandro Barranca, Jr., and her brothers Raymond, Dino, Juan, and Andy Garcia. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, George, who faithfully cared for her throughout her illness, her daughter Linda Worden and spouse, Bill; Sarah Martinez and Dean Border; her brother Paul Garcia and spouse Nora; sisters Telles Baca, Carmen Torres and spouse David, Toni Hopp and spouse Terry; grandchildren Julia Dowling and spouse Andrew, Andrew Martinez, Matthew Worden, and Laura Worden Daddario and spouse Stephanie; her great grandchildren, Amelia, Alessia, and Aurelia Beston, and step son, Phil Teupell, and many nieces/nephews, and great nieces/nephews.

Sally’s family would like to thank Maria Luz Corral, who cared for her for many years, even making her husband drive through a snowstorm just to get to her.  They’d also like to thank the staff at Carefree Assisted Living, who provided compassionate care during Sally’s final days.

Services will be held at Daniel’s Funeral Home, 7601 Wyoming NE, on Friday, May 26.  Family visitation will be from 10:00-11:00, followed by a rosary and a reception.
