Mr. Salvador “Sal” Williams died unexpectedly on April 28th, 2022, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 30 years old.
Salvador is survived by his loving wife Kristen Williams of Albuquerque, New Mexico, his mother Cheryl Nix-Williams of Albuquerque, NM, his father Todd Williams of Albuquerque, NM, his sister Jessica Williams of Albuquerque, NM, his brother Jody Nix and his wife Stephanie Nix of Galveston, Texas, his sister Luchiana Williams of Albuquerque, NM, his stepsister Natasha Shearer and her husband of Portales, NM and by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Salvador is also survived by his furry friends Smokey the cat and Aaliyah the dog. Salvador is preceded in death by his brother Jason Nix and by his grandparents.
Salvador was born on Thursday, August 29th,1991, in Clovis, New Mexico. Salvador attended and graduated from West Mesa High School in 2009. Following high school, he attended and completed a few semesters at Central New Mexico Community College. Salvador married Ms. Kristen J. Nicholson on Friday, March 20th, 2020, at Church of the Incarnation after being together for five years. They were married for two years. Salvador was previously employed in various roles within construction, retail and most recently held different positions in the food industry.
Salvador enjoyed rooting for his favorite NFL team the Denver Broncos along with keeping up with other professional sports and playing various Xbox and PC games. Salvador was confirmed into the Roman Catholic Church.
To honor Salvador’s memory, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Camp Enchantment.
The family would like to thank the UNM Hospital Emergency Room and Neuroscience ICU staff and would like to pay special recognition to the NSI nurses who cared for Salvador and to the members of his Organ Donation Team.
Salvador’s greatest and most generous gift was that of organ donation. His gift will save many lives.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 6th, 2022, beginning 12:00PM at the Church of Incarnation. Rosary will follow at 12:30PM, with Mass to begin thereafter at 1:00PM. Burial will take place at Vista Verde Memorial Park directly following Mass. Reception to follow.
