Sam Nick Gaeto, 86, loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend passed away on July 3rd, 2010. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 27th, 1924 to Pasquale Anthony and Mary Rose Gaeto. Sam served as an officer in the United States Navy in the South Pacific during World War II and settled in New Mexico after the war. He received both his BBA in Accounting and Masters degrees from the university of New Mexico. He married his beautiful wife, Dorothy Lillian Hutton, on May 26th, 1951. He was a Certified Public Accountant and spent most of his career as an Accounting Manager at Sandia Laboratories in Albuquerque. He retired after 30 years in 1986. He was a leader in the community serving as an officer of Thunderbird Little League for over 25 years, as a long-time member of both the Queen Of Heaven Church and School boards, and as a CCD teacher. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 39 years, Dorothy, who passed away in 1991. He is survived by his loving sister, Claire Ellermeyer of Albuquerque, his four children, Mikki Ross of Washington, DC, Tom Gaeto of San Diego, California, Paul Gaeto of Dunlap, Illinois and Ed Gaeto of Albuquerque, and his thirteen grandchildren, Kara Paulson, Erin Steinhardt, Marc Steinhardt, Lauren Stenhardt, Amanda Kenny, Ryan Gaeto, Cassandra Gaeto, Angela Gaeto, Alyssa Gaeto, Sammy Gaeto, Lillian Gaeto, Nicholas Gaeto and Alex Gaeto. He was a warm, outgoing man who enjoyed life to its fullest and loved to make people laugh. He was a rabid sports fan and supported the New Mexico Lobos, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns and Indians.
