Samia Louise Segura Davis a life-long resident of Los Alamos, NM passed away on January 19th at Canyon Transitional Rehabilitation Center in Albuquerque.
Samia is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jerry Davis; her two children Cathy Hipple and John Davis; her son-in-law Ross Hipple and daughter in-law Melanie Davis; her grandchildren Zachary, Tyler, and Kaleigh Hipple; her brothers Neno, Floyd, and Michael Segura; and her sisters Nina Gallegos and Ginny Loucks. She is predeceased by her brother Tom Segura.
Samia was born in Oakland, CA on January 9th to Neno and Thelma Dominguez Segura. She graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1961. She began work as a beautician, but quickly transitioned to the Los Alamos National Laboratory retiring after 28 years of service working as a word processor and administrative assistant.
Samia was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling with her husband. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and grand dogs. She will be especially remembered for her generosity and love of life and family.
The funeral services will be held at the Calvary Chapel in Albuquerque at 4001 Osuna Rd., NE in Albuquerque on Friday January 25th at 11:00am. A reception at Calvary Chapel Hub will follow the service at noon. Viewing and graveside services will be held privately.
