Sammy S. Jenkins, Sr.

JENKINS-Sammy Sorrell Jenkins, Sr. entered into eternal life on June 29, 2010 peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Madeline; four loving children and their spouses, Sammy Jr. and Alicia, Michael and Sue, Terry and Laila, Janita and Reed Allen. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his brother; as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. He was born in Sanger, TX on September 12, 1930; spending most of his life in New Mexico and Arizona. He served honorably in the Air Force. Sam was a noted author, small business owner and consultant among his many other endeavors. He was a long-time and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he had many friends whom he loved. Thank you to Zia Hospice, especially Phyllis Stanley who was a god-send in our time of need.
