Samuel Chavez Jr.

Samuel Chavez Jr. passed on from this life at his home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. The son of Samuel and Shirley Chavez. 

Sammy grew up in San Antonio, New Mexico.  After high school, Sammy enlisted in the Air Force where he proudly served his country for 22 years. He was fortunate to have traveled the world during his service in the military.  He is remembered by his fellow service members as a great leader that was always there for his airman.

 Sammy will be long remembered as a loyal and dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys.  He enjoyed traveling to visit his 3 children, all sports, and the outdoors. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and nephews. He will be missed by numerous family members and friends.

Funeral Services will take place at 9am on Friday, October 06, 2023, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. 501 North Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM 87501.
