Shane Mendez Perez, age 43, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on October 2, 1979, to Efrain Perez and Barbara Mathews Perez. He was a loving son and brother. Shane was a mechanic who loved working on and restoring cars. He enjoyed music by Sublime, Johnny Cash and Elvis. He loved his family and was a free spirit.
He is survived by his family and many friends.
Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2023, Daniels Family Funeral Services - Southern Chapel, 2400 Southern Blvd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. Reception to follow at the Elks Lodge #2500, 1530 Barbara Loop SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
