Sheilah Elizabeth Daniel
September 18, 1931 - January 25, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family of Sheilah E. Daniel announces her passing. She died peacefully on January 25, 2024 at 92 years of age. Sheilah will be forever remembered by her loving husband - Charles, four children (Mary, Sharon, John and Paula), five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, her brother Derek, her dear friend and sister-in-law Sheilah and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Josephine and her brothers Francis and Michael.
Sheilah was born on September 18, 1931 in Leicester, England. She had an amazing gift of storytelling and fondly shared many stories of growing up in England. She went to nursing school in Ipswich, England and became a registered nurse in 1951. She immigrated to the United States in 1952 and pursued her career of nursing. She had a great fondness of travel which led her to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she met the love of her life, Charles. They were married for 62 wonderful years. She had a passion for the Catholic faith, singing, helping others and learning about a variety of subjects. She imparted these passions to her children and all she met especially, the youth. In her lifetime, she was actively involved in her church and community; including working with catholic scouting, teaching religious education, volunteering at local schools, and helping with vaccination clinics throughout the city. She will be greatly missed but our faith enables us to look forward to being reunited with her and all our loved ones. We are thankful for all of your prayers and support. A rosary will be held for the repose of her soul on February 12 at 6:00pm at Daniel’s Family Funeral Home on 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Annunciation Parish 2621 Vermont St. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. February 13 at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109 with a reception to follow at St. Magdalene Hall on Our lady of Annunciation Parish campus.
