Shelly Jane Cannaday, born September 23rd, 1966, in Jacksonville, Florida, went to join her father in Heaven on the afternoon of June 21st, 2024, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Shelly enjoyed crewing for hot air balloons, crocheting, all-things Elvis Presley, and above all else spending time with her children and grandchildren. Often referred to as “Momma Cannaday”, she would drop what she was doing at any given moment to help all of her family, loved ones, and balloon family, all of which she loved with a big loving heart.
She is survived by her mother Daris Landreth of Clovis, NM; Her brother Denny Landreth and wife Shelly Landreth; Two sisters Valerie (DeeDee) Landreth and Kim Landreth - Tipton; and many cousins across the US. She is also survived by the love of her life, Alan Cannaday of Rio Rancho, NM; Daughter Shalan Zisman and her husband Michael Zisman of Rio Rancho, NM; Son Christopher Cannaday of Rio Rancho, NM; Daughter Bryana (Breezy) Cannaday and fiancé Caleb Shinault of Rio Rancho, NM; four loving grandchildren, Morghan, Madilynn, Troy, and Angelina.
She is preceded in death by her father, Larry Landreth, father-in-law Lynn Cannaday, and bonus daughter Kristie Shreve.
A celebration of life will be held at the Cannaday household (613 Atlantic Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124) on Saturday, June 29th, at noon. All friends, family, and loved ones are welcome to attend.
