Sherrie Carlson Johnson

Sherrie Gail (Carlson) Johnson of Rio Rancho, New Mexico passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023.  She was born on Saturday, May 12, 1951.  She is survived by her brother, Lee Carlson (Peggy) of St. Charles, Minnesota, niece, Jill (Jared) Butson, nephew Nate (Johanna) Carlson, great nieces and nephews, and many cousins.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave, her parents Arlene (Sellman) Carlson and Paul E. Carlson.  She was a member of Charity Baptist Church, where she had many close and supportive friends.  Her father was in the Air Force for 20 years, so she moved often.  In 1961 the family bought a 40-acre farm in Minnesota.  She graduated in 1969 from North Branch High School and the University of Minnesota with a degree in physical therapy in 1973.  She worked in both Minnesota and New Mexico as a Physical Therapist.  She and Dave moved to New Mexico in 1997 for health reasons and were very happy there.  She was a kind and generous person who will be greatly missed by friends and family.
