Luke 1:46, 47 "Blest too are the sorrowing; They shall be consoled" Matthew 5:4 MOCK-MARTIN - Shirley Mock-Martin beloved wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother, and dear friend to many left us suddenly to be with our Lord Saturday, May 2, 2009. Her passing was peaceful and quick. She will be dearly remembered by all who knew her, for her love was of the type that transcended everything. She was born July 30, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York and has been a resident of Rio Rancho since 1990. She is survived by her husband Ernest B. Martin of Rio Rancho; her only brother Mr. Phillip Stubbs; her sons Johnnie Herndon III and wife Sharon, Michael S. Herndon and wife Carolyn, and Henry D. "David" Myers and wife Lisa; grandchildren Tyshema Jenkins, Nathaniel Herndon, Stephen Herndon, Anthony Herndon, Janay Myers, Kristina Myers, Alexandrea Holloway-Herndon, and Deejdrick Holloway-Herndon, and great-grandchildren Keimani Jenkins, Aajanae Herndon, Morgen Howell and Nyla Herndon. She was preceded in death by her parents Oswald and Ethel Mock. Shirley also leaves a multitude of friends and extended family all of whom will forever feel the void left by her departure.
