Steve R. Moya

MOYA - Steve R. Moya, 53, passed away November 17, 2010. He was born September 2, 1957 in Santa Fe, NM. Steve joined the New Mexico Army National Guard on 25 November 1974, where he served for 6 months and 28 days before transferring to the New Mexico Air National Guard. Steve served in the NMANG from 23 June 1975 to 31 July 2002. He retired as a Chief Master Sergeant (E-9) and his last assignment was with the Headquarters, NMANG as a Personnel Manager. He was predeceased by Tony Nuanes and Tommy. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Anna Moya; his children Marquita Herrera and husband Pete, and Amanda Garcia and husband Jonathan; grandchildren Estevan Olivas; TiAnna Olivas; Rian Barricklow, and Christian Barricklow; his mother Grace Nuanes and husband Paul, and siblings Anthony Moya and wife Trish; Arnold Moya; Stanley Moya and wife Pricilla; Andrew Nuanes and wife Marina; Debbie Kahawai and husband Lani; Steve Nuanes and fiancé Lori, and Rick Nuanes. A Visitation will be held Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Family Worship Center, 7311 Glenrio NW, Albuquerque, NM followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. There will a final Visitation Monday, November 22, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Family Worship Center. Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
