Steve Trujillo, age 72, passed away September 24, 2026 in Rio Rancho, NM. He was born on November 17, 1953, in Los Alamos, New Mexico, to Steve Trujillo, Jr. and Ellia Josephina Trujillo. He was a graduate of Del Norte High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Class of 1972. He married his loving wife, Karen Trujillo (Kronowit) on November 18, 2002, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Steve spent 30 years building a career in telecommunications, followed by 11 more years continuing telecommunication work with Albuquerque Public Schools. He was known for being a technology enthusiast, amateur stock analyst, world traveler, fan of Las Vegas, and an avid do-it-yourselfer. He was always ready to take on a challenge.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Ellia Trujillo; sister, Patricia Ruby Trujillo and his beloved pet, Griz.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Karen Trujillo of Rio Rancho, NM; his son and daughter-in-law, Steven M. and Samantha Trujillo; stepdaughter’s, Julie Sanchez and Jennifer Ghadanfar, both of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren Ellie Trujillo, Seth Trujillo, Olivia Bolivar, and Bianca Bolivar; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Gary Carnie of St. Louis, Missouri; niece, Michelle Lee Concho of St. Louis, Missouri; nephew, Gary Carnie Trujillo(Gary Jr.) of St. Louis, Missouri; sister and partner, Diana Patricia Trujillo and Omar Djojo di Ningrat of Albuquerque, NM; niece, Ellia Asha de Ningrat of Albuquerque, NM and nephew, Liu Seong Omar di Ningrat of Albuquerque, NM.
Steve's legacy is remembered through the love of his family, his industrious spirit, and the sentiment: "Loving you was the most beautiful part of my life."
