Steven R. Phillips, 59, passed away on April 9th, 2026, after a short battle with cancer. He was born February 9th,1967, 

at Socorro General Hospital to Roger and Diane Phillips. A beloved son, brother, uncle, great uncle, nephew, and cousin. 

Steven was lifelong resident of Socorro. He had the innate ability to engage in conversation and made friends of

which he had many. Steven enjoyed playing guitar, listening to music, and was also a natural artist in which he won many 

awards for his paintings. His favorite job was doing ranch work and was a fan of the CSI Television series. Steven is 

survived by his father Roger Phillips, brother Scott Phillips (Christine), niece Haley Allen (Jordan) nephew Ryan Phillips,

great nieces Harper Allen and Brynnley Allen and beloved extended family. Steven is preceded in death by his mother Diane 

Phillips and Grandmother Jeanette Phillips. The Phillips family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Presbyterian Kaseman

Hospital Hospice care.

Memorial service will be held at Daniels Funeral Home 309 Garfield Ave, Socorro, NM, date and time pending at this time.
