Susan Kay Lundy passed away peacefully at her home in Albuquerque on Friday, March 31, 2023. Susan was born on September 30, 1944 in Winslow, Arizona to parents Madge and Richard Lundy.
After a short time, Susan moved with her parents to Albuquerque where she resided for many years. She attended Sandia High School and the University of New Mexico. Susan was a student as well as an instructor of art and creativity for most of her adult life. She was happiest when she had a paintbrush in her hand creating oil paintings, watercolors, gourd art, murals, furniture painting, and the list goes on.
Susan brought joy, beauty, and color into other people’s homes through her interior design. Susan also enjoyed Tai Chi, developing and building true relationships with others, spending time in meditation, serving at her church, and creating her beautiful home full of color and art.
Her gentle beauty will be missed greatly by her sister Dixie, her nieces, nephews, and cousins, her dear friends, and of course her beloved dog Cocoa. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 17, 4-6 pm in the Pottery Room at the Indian Cultural Center.
