Theresa Ann Corvino

Corvino, Theresa A. Albuquerque, New Mexico� Theresa Corvino, a short-term resident of Albuquerque, died on March 22, 2013 at home. Born in 1919 in New York City, Theresa went to school and lived in Yonkers, New York, where she married and raised four children. She moved to Albquerque, New Mexico in 2008. She is survived by her children, Gina Guerrero and husband Ricardo of Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, John Corvino and wife Marie, Teriann Uccan and husband Max, and daughter Patricia Baker, grandchildren, Michael Baker and wife Julie, Bill Baker, Jaqueline Duque, Tom Baker and wife Cherith, Victoria Corvino, John Corvino Jr, Nicholas Uccan, Olivia Uccan all of Albuquerque N.M and Ricardo Guerrreo Jr of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, and great-grandchildren, Christopher Baker, Bryan Baker, Daniella Duque, Bryson Baker, Dylan Baker, Ethan Baker and Maegan Baker all of Albuquerque NM, and great-grandson Aaron Duque stationed with the Navy in Japan. Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, John Corvino, her brothers, Robert Filipella, Frank Filipella, Vincent Filipella and a sister, Madeline Steinman. Surviving are her brother Paul Phillips of Naples, Florida and sister-in-law Millie Spagnolo of Yonkers, New York. Theresa worked throughout her lifetime in managerial positions in food services and was an original �Rosie the Riveter� working at Eastern Aircraft in Elmsford, NY during WWII. Cooking was her passion for family and friends as well as crocheting blankets as gifts and donations throughout the years. Theresa traveled to many parts of the world, loved to read, enjoyed socializing with her friends and neighbors, going out to restaurants and spending time with her family. She also was active in numerous social clubs. Her children, grandchildren and great-grand children brought her great joy. Services will be held at Daniels Family Funeral Home, 2400 Southern Blvd. SE Rio Rancho, 87124 (505-891-9192). Visitation hours are on Monday, March 25, 2013 form 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1502 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 on Tuesday March 26, 2013 at 10:30 am. Interment will be determined at a later date at St. Mary�s Cemetery, Yonkers, New York. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Ambercare Hospice of Albuquerque, NM, 420 N.
