Theresa Fernandez

FERNANDEZ - Theresa Fernandez, age 69, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 26, 2010, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Springer, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque. Theresa loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them especially with her precious grandchildren. She also enjoyed working on her garden, painting ceramic figurines, camping and traveling. She was preceded in death by her father, Ike Trujillo. Theresa is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Carlos Fernandez; her daughters, Anita Fernandez of Albuquerque, and Debbie Dayringer and husband Jim of Sacramento, CA; her grandchildren, Robert, Emily and Eric Dayringer also of Sacramento, CA. Also surviving are her loving mother, Carlota Trujillo of Springer, NM; her brothers, Julio Trujillo and wife Dixie of Raton, NM, Adolfo Trujillo and wife Anita of Albuquerque; sisters, Elsie Ortiz and husband Richard of Springer, NM, June Crespin and husband Phil of Farmington, NM; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Visitations will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services-Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, followed by the Service of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho. Casket Bearers will be Robert Dayringer, Nick Trujillo, Nathan Fernandez, David Fernandez, Martin Maes, and Mike Maes. Honorary Bearers will be Emily Dayringer, Eric Dayringer, and Jonathan Fernandez. At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the NM Cancer Center Foundation, 4901 Lang Ave., NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
