Age 75, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016 quietly in her sleep surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Allen R. Gelinas, MD, they shared 55 years of marriage together.

She was born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada on March 22, 1941. She was the only daughter of Pierre and Yvonne Pinard. Allen and Theresa both attended the University of Ottawa where he studied to be a physician and she studied to be a nurse. They were married on June 10, 1961. Theresa was a longtime volunteer for the Crisis Pregnancy Centers of Albuquerque, as well as the owner of Comida Buena, a successful deli at the Albuquerque Sunport. She was also an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church where she facilitated the Devine Mercy Cenacle. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling and being an active member of her church.  She will be remembered for her loving  personality, her beautiful soul and her unwavering faith.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Allen; 4 sons and their spouses, Michel and Cathy, Claude and Lisa. Marc and Serena, Joel and Beth as well as 14 grandchildren, Alexandra, Nathaniel, Katie, Benjamin, Alethea, Diana, Sarah, Joshua, Caleb, Terra, Noah, Isaiah, Melia and Delia.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary being said  at 7:00pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Rd. Chapel. A Mass will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10:30am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd. SE Rio Rancho, NM 87124 with entombment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd. SE Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
