Theresa (Carabajal) Romero, age 84, of Cuba, New Mexico, was called home to be with our Lord on August 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 17, 1942, Theresa lived a life rooted in faith, family, love, and devotion to those she cherished most.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ramon Romero. She is survived by her six children: Ricky Romero (Cathy), Juan Romero (Chepa), Corina (Romero) Arellano (Raymond), David Romero (Armolita), Christine Romero (Raffa), and Felipe Romero (Tasha). She was blessed with a large and loving family that includes 26 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

Theresa will forever be remembered as a shining light within her family. She shared unconditional love, kindness, and strength with all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and the generations that follow, carrying forward the values and faith she instilled in them.

Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Cuba, New Mexico, on August 21, 2026. The Rosary and Funeral Mass will begin at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow.

Theresa's family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the loving presence of our Lord and reunited with those who have gone before her.
