Thomas Franklin Chamblee of Bloomfield NM entered this life on February 14, 1931 and entered the arms of his Heavenly Father on August 15, 2010. He was our precious and loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, friend, mentor, and hero. Tom was born in Cortez CO to Gertrude and John Chamblee. He never met a person that wasn't his friend. He was a very religious and faithful man who loved God and his Church Family. His favorite Bible Verse was John 3:16- "For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son. That who shall ever believe in him shall not perish but have eternal life". We know Tom is rejoicing, praising, and celebrating his eternal haven. Everyone who knew him has an inspirational and touching memory or story. Tom was an army veteran who proudly served and loved his country. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, and friends. He loved working in his yard, feeding his ducks and chickens, inventing things in his shop, creating works of art with his hands and wood, rebuilding his church, and reading his Bible and maintaining his
relationship with God. He was a man that was always on the go and would never let anything keep him down. For anyone who would listen he had a story to tell over and over. They were always about "it was this wide...this long. and this tall". He also always had a prayer to encourage, inspire, and just let us know that we were loved. When Tom prayed with you, the presence of God was always there! God looked around his garden and he found an empty place.
And then he looked down upon the earth, and saw your handsome face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best,
So he whispered "Peace be thine".
It broke out hearts to lose you.
But you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you, the day God called you
home. Even though we can no longer see you, we will always have you in our hearts and
memories. And we will always hear your stories and prayers for as you always say
"God will never give you anything you can't handle". We will always keep your
memory and love strong because there will never be a more AMAZING, LOVING
grandpa as you! Thank you for everything you have shown us, taught us, and gave
us. We know you will continue to guide us and hug us in our hearts. We love you,
God Bless! Tom is survived by his loving wife Anne Chamblee. His loving children Cornelia
