Thomas Yazzie

Thomas Yazzie, 81, of Farmington, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend went to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, may 15, 2011. He was born Nov. 22, 1929, in the Chaco Canyon area, to Frank and Nellie Yazzie. Thomas and Sarah were married in 1950. He worked for Union Pacific, Mossman Construction and at Chaco Canyon National Monument. He worked for Gas Company of New Mexico for 35 years prior to his retirement. Thomas enjoyed hunting, silversmithing and cattle ranching. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Harry and Gilbert. Thomas is survived by his wife, Sarah; his children, Barney, Gary, Lucille, Lambert and Cindy; and his loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Michael Yazzie, Jeremiah Begay, Randy Begay, Myron Begay, Wesley White and Lathen Lee.
