Kamla died Sept. 10, 2010, in Gallup. He was born Dec. 5, 1955, in Malta, Mont. Kamla attended high school in Malta, Mont. and college in Missoula, Mont. He was three credits short of a Master’s degree in psychology, science, social studies and teaching at the University of Montana. He has worked for Gallup McKinley County Schoool District for the last 19 years. His hobbies included skeet shooting, marksmen shooting and collecting guns. He enjoyed Steven King books and historical books. Survivors include his wife, Natalie Kamla of Gallup; step-sons, Jared Smith of Washington, Utah, H. Havelock Smith of Okinaw, Japan; daughters, Yvette Smith of Holbrook, Melanie Smith of Gallup; brothers, John (Jack) Kamla of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Sandra (Jo) Shay; eight grandchildren. Kamla was preceded in death by his parents, John and Kay Kamla; grandparents; step-daughter, Haidee Smith. The family will receive relatives and friends following services. The family will meet at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints Church. Arrangements are entrusted to: Cope Memorial Chapel
