Tomasa Sally Chavez

Chavez, Tomasa Sally 10/22/30-10/26/11 Born to Adelina Chacon and Jose Torrez in Solomonville, AZ went peacefully to be with the Lord while surrounded by her loving family. Sally grew up in Santa Rosa, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque since 1953. Sally adored her family and loved spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her late husband of 30 years Joe T. Chavez; mother, Adelina Garcia; sister, Veronica DeGroen; brother, Peter Aragon and her beloved companion, Mel Sanchez. Sally is survived by her siblings, Randy Aragon, Johnny Aragon, Mary Gonzales and Viola Rust; children, Joe Chavez, Jr., Barbara Montoya, Steve Chavez, MaryLou Chavez, Laura Chavez, Patricia Chavez and husband Aaron Romero; care-taker, Denise Castillo; grandchildren, Anthony Chavez, Andrew Chavez, Valerie Montoya-Padur, Danny Tapia, Marlene Tapia, and Brianna Orona; great-grandchildren, Jonathon Hernandez, Gabriel Cabrera, Rene Cabrera, Eliza Torrez, and Julian Chavez and many nieces and nephews. A Rosary to be recited at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian burial to follow at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers are Anthony Chavez, Andrew Chavez, Danny Tapia, Aaron Romero, Jonathon Hernandez and Marcos Salazar. Mom will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
