Tyler Christopher Scott

August 26, 1997 — December 26, 2025

Tyler Christopher Scott was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on August 26, 1997, and was the twin brother of Bradley Lawrence Scott. Tyler passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025.

As a child, Tyler treasured time spent at his Grandpa Arnold’s ranch, where he developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the sense of freedom it provided. He also shared a special and lasting bond with his Grandma Janet Miera, a relationship that helped shape his character and values. Throughout his life, Tyler found peace in nature and joy in simple moments. He loved shooting, hiking, and fishing, and he greatly valued time spent with his close friends and family.

Tyler attended San Felipe De Neri Catholic Elementary School, where he developed a strong faith that remained throughout his life.

Tyler graduated from Cibola High School on May 15, 2015. Shortly after graduation, Tyler made the decision to move to Tennessee, a step that would lead to a defining chapter of his life. Not long after his move, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving with the 1st Brigade Combat Team. He completed basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, and was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Following his military service, Tyler continued to pursue growth and purpose. He attended Albuquerque Barber College, where he became a Master Barber. Tyler genuinely enjoyed his work and the connections it allowed him to build. Most recently, he was completing his barber instructor certification, reflecting his desire to continue learning and to help others develop their skills. Whether behind the chair or in everyday life, Tyler was direct, honest, and unapologetically himself.

Tyler was known for his authenticity, strong will, and unwavering loyalty to those he cared about. He is remembered as a son, brother, veteran, uncle, cousin, and friend. His life touched many, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Tyler Christopher Scott is survived by his father, Christopher Scott; his sisters, Vanessa Chavez, Heather Sara, and Andasia Riedmiller; his six nephews and one niece; his cousin, Jason Miera, his aunt, Josie Miera, and mother, Bonnie Miera.

Tyler’s memory will live on through the people who loved him, the stories that continue to be shared, and the quiet strength he leaves behind.
