Vicki Lynn Whitby

Vicki Lynn Elston Whitby, 79, long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away after a brief illness on April 18, 2026. She was born on October 28, 1946 in Philadelphia PA.

Vicki was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was very involved in church activities during her earlier years and enjoyed the friendships and community she found there.

She dedicated time to local community outreach, including working with the Albuquerque Rescue Mission to assist individuals in need.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Tracy) of Parker, Colorado; her grandsons, Josh (Rachel) Hinkle of Cañon City, Colorado and Jacob and Jesse Hinkle of Parker, Colorado; her sister, Linda Patterson of Azle, Texas; and her nieces and their families: Theresa (Kip) Boydston and children Zoë and Zachary; Sandra Boyd and children Caedmon and Malachi; and Carolyn Fox and children Nathaniel, Benjamin, and Jenaya Barentine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Betty Elston.

A memorial service will be held on June 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE in Albuquerque.
