Victor A. Rotolo

ROTOLO-Victor A. Rotolo, 84, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM; beloved father, grandfather and friend, passed away on September 22, 2010. He is survived by his daughter, Diane Reed, and her two children, Jessica and Kaylea, all of Rio Rancho, NM; long-time Schatz (“sweetheart,”) Elfriede Gabbett of Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his wife, Suzette, his son, Marc, and his three brothers. He was born January 6, 1926. Victor served more than 35 years in the U.S. military, retiring from the Army as a Captain in 1978. He later retired from IBM as an advisory engineer in 1987. Victor was an active member of St. Andrew Scottish Society of New Mexico, Rio Ramblers Square Dance Club, Irish American Society, Edelweiss am Rio Grande German American Club, Duke City Model Yacht Club and Del Norte Gun Club. He also was a member of San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales, NM. Victor was a true gentleman with a keen mind whose passion for life and knowledge was admired by his family, many friends and good neighbors. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, October 2, 2010, Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, (inside Vista Verde Memorial Park), 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Entombment will follow services at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans of New Mexico; Wanagi Wolf Fund and Rescue of Tijeras, or the Charity of your choice.
