Victoria H. Sierra

Victoria H. Sierra went home with God on March 21st, 2024 at the age of 84. She passed peacefully at her long-term residence in Albuquerque, NM surrounded by prayer and loved ones. Victoria was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrico and Maria, her son Jose “Jr” and her brothers, Fred and Tony. She was born on November 1st, 1939 to parents, Fredrico and Maria Hernandez in Jalisco, Mexico. She lived there alongside her seven siblings with whom she helped raise- Fred, Toni, Joe, Cuco, Marcos, Mary, and Stella. As she matured into a young lady, she soon married the love of her life, Jose B. Sierra in June of 1955 in Berino, New Mexico. They would go on to raise six beautiful children together, Jose Jr, Margie, Gilbert, Rachel, Serena and Krystal. 

Victoria’s green thumb brought beauty into the world and with a particular fondness for roses, her garden was often filled with every color. She was a talented seamstress by trade and enjoyed fishing, camping, and going to the casinos and yard sales. Victoria leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

Funeral services will be held at Daniels Funeral Home located at 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE on April 10th at 5:00 pm for the viewing and 6:00 pm for the rosary. Mass will be held on April 11th at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Assumption at 811 Guaymas Pl NE. The burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe NM 87501 at 2:00 pm. The reception will be at the American Legion located at 1215 Mountain Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
