Vincent "Vin" Matthew Buscema Jr.

Vincent "Vinny" Buscema Jr., cherished husband, father, son, and brother, passed away on July 8th, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His journey began on July 21st 1984, in Grants, New Mexico, where he was born to Sharon Buscema. He grew up in New Mexico, graduating from Rio Rancho High School in 2002. In July of 2007, he married Melissa Shafer, who lovingly adopted his surname, becoming Melissa Buscema.

Vinny dedicated himself to the film industry and was a proud member of the IATSE 480 Union, contributing his skills and passion to countless productions. His commitment to his craft was matched only by his love for physical fitness and martial arts, particularly Jiu Jitsu. Vinny was an active member of One Jiu Jitsu in Rio Rancho, where he found both challenge and camaraderie.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, survived by his devoted wife, Melissa Buscema, and sons, Salvador and Isaac Buscema. He is also survived by his mother, Sharon Buscema; grandparents, Joe and Pauline Gallegos; his brother Scott (Michelle); brother-in-laws Doug (Rose) and Joshua (Percilla); and his mother-in-law, Trish Greene. Vinny will be deeply missed by his nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, and numerous friends, all of whom were touched by his kindness and humor.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday; July 20th 2024.
