Viola Acosta, born November 25, 1944, has gone on to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Arthur Acosta; her three adult children: Michele Goff and her spouse, Scott; Janice Spratte and her spouse, David; and Arthur Jr. and his wife, Michelle.
Viola is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Matthew and Travis; Ivan and Jeromy; and Arthur III, Dominique, and Angelica — all of whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Jade Goff, whom she adored.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Genevieve; her father, Isidro; and her brother, Raymond Lucero.
Viola was born in Santa Rita, NM, and attended Cobre High School, graduating in 1964. After marrying Arthur on November 17, 1963, they moved to Albuquerque, NM, where she devoted herself to raising their young children. Later, she worked in retail and remained with Sears for 30 years. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time doting on her children and grandchildren.
Viola loved gardening, camping in the mountains, traveling, and being at home. She was always the life of the party, made everyone she met feel welcome, and always had a smile to share. She was deeply loved by her extended family and friends.
