Viola Jackson
Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at the age of 101 years old. A resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1952.
She was born in Reserve, New Mexico to Domingo and Virginia Romero, and married her husband, Harvey, in 1934.
Viola adored her family and loved spending time with them. She loved making her own clothing, cooking and doing her yard work. She was the last of 13 brothers and sisters. She was very active in her church, The Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, and the senior group.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Jackson, a son Richard Jackson, her father and mother.
Viola is survived by her son, Michael Jackson and his wife Dotty, 2 grandchildren Marlene Availa and husband Marty, Alex Jackson and his wife Emily. 3 great grandchildren Jasmine, Destiny and Dominick and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on, Monday, August 8, 2016 with a Rosary at 5:30pm at the Carlisle Chapel.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 10:00 am.
Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE.
Viola will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
