Violet Nancy Barela

BARELA, Violet Nancy, 84 passed away March 25, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A lifetime resident, Violet was born to Edmund and Elenor (Cardova) Sanchez April 2, 1925. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Barela and daughter, Yvonne Goeden. Violet is survived by her son; Vern Barela and his wife Diane, daughter; Carm Phillips and her husband Don. Six Grandchildren; Rick Goeden, Shane Goeden, Alicia Espinosa and her husband Mike, Jason Phillips, Brandi Kim-Elliot and her husband Dan and Monique Bischoff and her husband Rob. Violet’s Great-grandchildren are LeAnne, Taylor, Riley, Laney, Braidan, Ashton, Kinzie, Caiden and Bregan. She was a longtime member of the Shrine of St. Bernadette and upon retiring from Sandia Labs, Violet volunteered for Catholic Social Services. Violet’s care has been entrusted to: Daniels Family Funeral Service, 3113 Carlisle Boulevard, NE (505- 884-1188).
