Virgilene Victoria Perea, age 84, passed way Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born August 21, 1937 to Gabino Montiel and Julia Anastasia Cavalier in Belen, NM.
She graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1956.
Virgilene married the love of her life 66 years ago, Maynard Perea, on May 26, 1956 in Albuquerque, NM.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Maynard Perea; son, David Perea; daughters: Darlene Perea, Deborah Perea, and Doris Cox of Albuquerque, NM; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and her cat, Peaches.
She was employed at the Alameda Elementary School for 25 years.
Virgilene was a member of the St. Therese of the Little Flower.
She loved to cook for family and friends. She also enjoyed going fishing and hunting with her husband and family.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment follows at 12:30 PM at Mt Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
