Virginia Marie Duran, age 85, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on April 17, 2023. She is survived by her brothers, Danny Luna (Rose) of Denver, Colorado, Manuel Luna (Rosalie) of Denver, Colorado, her son, Phillip Duran (Natalie) of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; her daughters Julie Schnoor (Rob) of Alamosa Colorado, Catherine Russ (Ian) of Greeley, Colorado, and Angela Duran of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; 14 grandkids, 24 Great grandkids and 1 Great, great grandchild.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Luna and Consuelo Ramos; her brothers Alex, Joe Jr., Cecil, Paul; her sisters, Francis, Elvira, Mary, Margret, Lupe, Lucille, and Gloria.
Virginia worked as a nurse aide for 47 years before retiring. She was an active and dedicated member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Rio Rancho. In her free time, she enjoyed doing puzzles, word puzzles and Sudoku. Virginia was loved by many and will be missed.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 6:00-8:00PM at Daniels Family Funeral Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87124.
A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 11:00AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 1001 Meteor Ave NE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87124.
Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 11:30AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 1001 Meteor Ave NE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87124.
Interment will take place immediately following mass at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87124.
