August 8, 1947 — June 20, 2025

Virginia Mae Springer, 77, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 8, 1947, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Virginia brought joy and light to everyone who knew her. Known for her radiant smile and wonderful personality, Virginia was a source of strength and positivity. No matter what challenges came her way, she faced them with grace and perseverance, never one to complain. Her generous spirit was most evident in her love of feeding family, friends, and anyone who came through her door—always with a story, a warm drink, and a comforting meal at the ready. Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, and aunt. She cherished her family deeply and showed her love through countless selfless acts and unwavering support. She found great pride in completing the Dale Carnegie course and had a successful career in finance. A gracious hostess, she enjoyed entertaining friends with tea, coffee, and conversation. Her heart belonged to her family, and she found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards, and watching movies. She was also a dedicated volunteer in the local schools, always willing to lend a hand wherever she could. Her giving nature and zest for life touched the hearts of many.

Virginia is survived by her beloved daughter Amie Brooks and her husband Daniel Brooks; and her cherished grandchildren Shane and Hailee Brooks. She also leaves behind her loving brother Wade Howat and his wife Sandra, and their daughters Cheri Bogart and Vicki Spigener. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Paul A. Springer, and her parents, Leo and Amilia Howat. Virginia's legacy of love, warmth, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
