Virginia Ann Tennyson-Jaramillo

January 5, 1933 — July 13, 2023

Virginia went to be with the Lord (passing in her sleep) on July 13, 2023 and woke up in heaven.  Virginia, “Ginny”, was born January 5, 1933 in Borger, Texas to parents Charles and Nancy “Annie” Tennyson. Growing up in Borger, TX, part of the greatest generation, with her 8 brothers and sisters, Virginia attended Phillips High School.  She and her mother also traveled and lived in San Francisco which became her spiritual home.  She moved back to New Mexico, attended Santa Fe High School and graduated in 1951.  It was in Santa Fe where Virginia met her husband Rudolfo Jaramillo and married on April 3, 1953.  Virginia was employed by the State of NM as an administrative assistant for over 30 years.

She was the mother of six children, David, Barbara “Babs” Jaramillo, Patricia “Pattie” Jaramillo, Ronald “RJ” Jaramillo, Randy & Betty Jaramillo (Daughter In Love), and Nancy and Ron Breding (Son In Love).  Virginia was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Virginia devoted herself to her family and went to great lengths to maintain family gatherings.  Her passion was connection to her family.  She took a keen interest in all their lives constantly encouraging all along their life’s journeys.  She wore many “hats” as a working mom and did both with love, strength, and devotion.

Virginia loved the Lord Jesus.  She became a new creation at the age of 66.  She was always devoted to God and prayed continuously for her family.  Virginia’s legacy was her faith in God and devotion to family.  She appreciated everyone’s uniqueness and valued them right there where they were in life’s journey.  She was a planner.  Virginia passed that skill on to her children.  She planned for the future and prayed for the present and rested in what God would bring to her along the way.  Everyone who knew Virginia loved her.  She was beautiful inside and out.

Toward her later years, Virginia was lovingly cared for by her oldest daughter, Barbara.  Virginia received the best of care from her family and was looked after and loved by all her children.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Rudolfo “Rudy”, sisters Viola, Lois, Elma, “Dot”, brothers Raymond, Harold, and “Les”, brothers-in-law Adron “Dutch”, Bernard “BB”, and sisters-in-law Lilly and Marge.
