Walter "Flip" Harris, III

Walter "Flip" Harris III, age 44, passed away on August 13, 2026, at UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on September 4, 1981, in Los Angeles, California, to Diane Parks and Isaac Parks.

Walter was raised with a deep appreciation for family, faith, and fellowship. He graduated from Rio Rancho High School in 1999 and went on to touch the lives of many through his vibrant spirit and love for music, sports, and worship.

Known affectionately as "Flip," Walter had a passion for playing the drums, singing, and basketball. His energy, warmth, and sense of humor brought joy to everyone around him. He was a devoted member of Jericho MBC, where his faith remained an important part of his life.

Walter was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Nadine Battles, and grandfather, Mayfield Battles.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Diane Parks; his father, Isaac Parks Sr.; his sister, Diana Gordon; his brothers, Ricky Harris, Jamael Harris,and  Isaiah Parks. He is also survived by his children, Jonah Harris, Jasmine Harris, Javonte Harris, and Jodeci Harris.

Walter's family finds comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with the Lord. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him and will never be forgotten.

Trying to Accept

We're still trying to accept that you're gone,
