Wanda Lee Britton

Wanda Lee Boyle Britton, born on February 19, 1929,l quietly returned to her Heavenly Father surrounded by her family, on September 29, 2010. In between she lived an amazing and full life and will be profoundly missed by her family and friends. Wanda was born in Ellsworth, Kansas to Valentine Boyle. She grew up in Kansas alongside her 9 siblings during the depression of the 1930’s helping to raise and tend to the family and her childhood home. She married Kenneth LeeRoy Britton in Panhandle, Texas in 1947 and began a 63 year marriage and a lifetime of loving wherein she was able to witness five generations of her family. Wanda is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth, their three children, Diana Shay (Roger), Terry, and Jeannie Sandoval (Jose). She is also survived b y eight grandchildren, Kelly Shay (Suzie), Brian Shay (June), Angela Mulheran (Brian, Angela Sandoval, Levi Shay, Serene Lawrence (Dave), Tahna Ortega (Carl) and Kenneth Kyle Sandoval (Kerri). She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren with another on the way and four great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is her special brother-in-law, Derby Britton (Christy). Her time on earth was spent in a garden, cheering for baseball and football, being a true patriot, and teaching and loving her family. She is an irreplaceable woman whose loving hands and compassionate heart will be missed each day. Wanda is in the care of Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute Street, Farmington.
