Wanda A. Silver, age 79, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, in Albuquerque.

Wanda was born on October 9, 1946, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Herbert and Goldie Schmid. She attended school in Roswell through the 12th grade.

On July 16, 1966, Wanda married the love of her life, Gerald J. Silver, in Roswell, New Mexico. Together they shared 60 years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and love.

Wanda is survived by her devoted husband, Gerald J. Silver of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her son, James A. Silver of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her daughters, Juleigh A. Morrow of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Janelle M. Jokinen of O'Fallon, Illinois, and Jerilyn E. Duran of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She was a proud grandmother to Jacqueline Morrow Brough, Alexandria Morrow, Samantha Montoya, Kaila Martinez, Austin Silver, Jolie Jokinen, Ella Jokinen, Jackson Duran, Connor Duran, and Mabel Duran. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Olivia Martinez, Mason Martinez, Mia Martinez, and Morgan Martinez.

Wanda was a passionate quilter whose creativity brought warmth and beauty to those around her. She also loved to travel and believed the journey was just as important as the destination, often choosing the scenic route to enjoy life's beauty along the way.

A faithful member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, Wanda's kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Her legacy of love, generosity, and treasured memories will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
