Warren Sullivan age 98 passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Sullivan and his parents Dudley and Jessie Sullivan.
He is survived by his daughters Patty Elliot and her husband Tom Elliot, Kathleen Barbour and her husband Randy Barbour, his granddaughters Michelle Dean and Melissa Thorn, and his great grandchildren Michael Gonzales, Joshua Dean and Jaycee Dean.
Warren was born in Denver Colorado in 1925. He served with the 42nd Infantry Division in Europe in 1944 and 1945. After he returned home he went to school on the G.I. Bill and graduated as a structural engineer. He worked in that occupation for 38 years with 22 years at the University of California at Los Alamos, NM. After he retired, he moved to Benson AZ where he bought and ran the Mountain Air Motel with his wife Dorothy. In 1990 they moved to Alamogordo, NM where he spent his days golfing and enjoying a beer with friends.
In December 2015, Warren and Dorothy moved to Fairwinds in Rio Rancho where he made numerous good friends and was able to continue to play golf until he was 91. Although, he had to give up golf, he was still able to still enjoy a good beer and dance at happy hour.
Warren loved meeting and making new friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family welcomes everyone who knew and loved Warren to join us in a Celebration of Life at Fairwinds at 920 Riverview Drive SE on Wednesday, July 2 at 3:00 pm. There will also be a graveside service at Vista Verde Memorial Park 4310 Sara Road, Rio Rancho on Monday, July 7 at 11:00.
