Wayne George Pobar

Wayne George Pobar, age 75, passed away on March 30, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on May 18, 1950, in Denver, Colorado, to George and Leona Pobar.

Wayne was married to his beloved wife, Jolene C. Diaz, for 39 years. Together, they built a life centered on family, dedication, and shared experiences.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Leona Pobar, and his brother, Rick Pobar.

Wayne is survived by his loving children, Corey Pobar of Denver, Colorado, and Lauren Pobar of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Dyllon L. Pobar and Harley D. Priest. He is also survived by his siblings: Beverly Burson of Apache Junction, Arizona; Linda Martinez of Los Lunas, New Mexico; Stan Pobar of Tijeras, New Mexico; and Martin Pobar of Chama, New Mexico.

Wayne attended Thornton High School, graduating in 1968, and later continued his education at Colorado State University for a period of time.

He dedicated 35 years of his career to Brycon Corporation, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.

In his free time, Wayne found joy in the outdoors. He loved fishing, hiking, and camping, and he treasured the moments spent in nature and with those he loved.

Wayne will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strength, and the lasting impact he made on those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
